‘GTA V’ PlayStation 4 And Xbox One Release Date Announced, PC Not Until 2015
Those mid-November release rumors for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions Grand Theft Auto V turned out to be true. Rockstar Games made the release date official Friday, and gave details on some of the exclusive content for the next-gen version of GTA V. PC gamers will have to wait a little while longer, unfortunately.
GTA V will launch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014. The PC version is currently scheduled to follow on January 25, 2015.

Rockstar also detailed some of the improvements that will come with the upgraded version of GTA V. A higher resolution and improved draw distance was already expected, but the following is also coming.
- New weapons, vehicles and activities
- Additional wildlife
- Denser traffic
- New foliage system
- Enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more
Additionally, Grand Theft Auto Online will now support up to 30 players on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There’s no word on what the PC version will handle yet.
“A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.”
Owners of all three new GTA V versions will find plenty of new music to listen to, however. The game’s 17 radio stations will add over 100 additional new songs and DJ mixes.
Those that pre-order GTA V for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC will also find extra cash in their in-game bank accounts. An extra GTA$500k will be available in both the Story Mode and GTA Online for a total of GTA$1 million.
As previously mentioned by Rockstar, returning players will be able to transfer their GTA Online characters and progression over to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This works across platforms, so you will be able to carry over your progress even if you’ve switched platforms.
All Rockstar Games created content and gameplay updates will carry over to the upgraded GTA V. There is no word on if user-created jobs for GTA Online will make the jump.
