Justin Bieber Officially Confirms Selena Gomez Relationship At Deposition
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are dating. Again. And the news is official in more ways than one.
While everyone suspected as much, after the reveal of their secret dates in August and a recent vacation together in the “Baby” singer’s native Canada, now the couple’s back-on relationship status is a matter of public record.
Justin confirmed that he and Selena are boyfriend and girlfriend, during a deposition on Thursday for a lawsuit in which he had to answer questions under oath to attorney Mark DiCowden.
But, while the circumstances were about as unromantic as it gets — Justin is being sued by a paparazzo, who claims he was allegedly assaulted, and is represented by DiCowden — it did lead to Jelena finally making it into case law!
Citing an unidentified source, Gossip Extra reports Justin was very well behaved in the 30-minute proceeding, and gave his testimony about Selena and more in front of his lawyers at their Santa Monica office.
Rewind to March, when Bieber was first grilled by DiCowden about Gomez in a famously testy deposition, the then just turned 20-year-old refused point blank to talk about his on-off love of four years.
At the time, DiCowden asked the Canadian, “Have you ever talked to Selena Gomez and discussed your feelings about the paparazzi?”
After which, Justin became visibly upset, covered his face with his hand, then said, “Don’t ask me about her again. Don’t ask me about her again. Don’t ask me about her again.”
Fast forward to Thursday, it’s slightly anti-climactic to read the deposition transcript section where Justin confirms his relationship with Selena is as follows.
“As of today, what is your relationship with Selena Gomez?” DiCowden asked.
“We’re dating,” the oft-shirtless one replied.
“You mean, you’re boyfriend-girlfriend?” the attorney pressed.
“We are,” the Biebs confirmed.

So, now we know. There was speculation earlier this week about whether the couple were still together, simply because Justin was seen clubbing after his Fashion Rocks strip at the TAO restaurant and Galore party in NYC with Usher and his crew – and there were (gasp!) females present.
Meanwhile, Selena was snapped walking near a Los Angeles studio on Friday. She kept it cute in jeans and a crop top, and carried a copy of Oscar Wilde’s classic “The Importance of Being Earnest.”

That same day, the Biebs was seen having a seemingly worrying cellphone conversation, while carrying two bottles of juice out and about in Beverly Hills.
Since then, pictures surfaced of Justin partying with pals including French Montana in Las Vegas, ahead of undefeated champ Floyd Mayeather Jr.’s rematch with Marcos Maidana tonight. It’s thought the singer will walk “Money” out to the ring for the fourth time. As for national anthem singing rumors, we’re skeptical.
It’s unclear if Jelena is in Las Vegas. While it’s interesting to finally know the state of play between the pair, truth be told we’re going to miss the Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, are they or aren’t they routine?
A little mystery never hurts.
