Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” got the Ellen DeGeneres treatment, and the talk show host’s take on the twerk-tastic music video was pretty amazing.
Everyone knows that Ellen loves dancing, so of course she had to replicate some of Nicki’s moves when the rapper appeared on her show. However, first DeGeneres talked to Minaj about how incredibly successful “Anaconda” is.
“All of your songs are hugely successful,” Ellen said, according to Us Weekly . “‘Super Bass’ was hugely successful. But this, and this hasn’t even been out that long, and it has 115 million [views on YouTube]. A hundred and fifteen million views!”
Nicki Minaj told DeGeneres that she was shocked by the success of the song, which samples Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back.”
“I really don’t know how that happened,” Nicki said.
Minja’s version of the “Anaconda” video might be a mega-success, but Ellen DeGeneres said that it could have performed even better.
“If you would’ve put the version on, the one that I was in, the one that I shot with you, it would’ve had more views. So, I’m gonna show them.”
Nicki Minaj played along by joking that the alternate music video was never meant to be seen by the public.
“Are you sure they should see it? I mean, cause I wanted to keep it… I thought it was just between me and you.”
But of course Ellen DeGeneres played the video. The talk show host got off to a good start — at first she was twerking right along with the song while rocking a fanny pack and Daisy Dukes. However, she started to a get a pained expression on her face after a few seconds of dancing, and it wasn’t long before she was using her hands to keep her booty bouncing up and down. She really looked like she was ready to throw in the towel after the leg lift portion of the music video, but she stuck with it. The big payoff for all her hard work was getting her butt smacked by Nicki Minaj.
Ellen DeGeneres made a risky move by spoofing Minaj’s booty anthem. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Nicki was not impressed the last time a white woman with short blonde hair tried to parody “Anaconda.” After Miley Cyrus altered Minaj’s “Anaconda” cover art by placing her head on the rapper’s body, Nicki made it known that she was not happy about “Hannahconda” borrowing her body.
Luckily, Minaj loved DeGeneres’ “Ellenconda” homage. After having a good giggle, she labeled the video “hilarious.”
This isn’t the first time Ellen has shown her admiration for Nicki. According to Hollywood Life , she dressed up in a Nicki Minaj Halloween costume last year. It featured leather pants and giant plastic breasts (but didn’t Sir Mix-A-Lot say that “silicone parts are made for toys?”).
Minaj also had a positive response to the Halloween costume. She tweeted her admiration for Ellen, and she shared the Instagram photo above of Nicklen MinGeneres.
I didn’t know Ellen could get any sexier. @theellenshow http://t.co/THHJAduyUn

Do you think Nicki Minaj seriously needs to consider putting Ellen DeGeneres in her next music video?
