Tiger Woods: With Ex Elin Nordegren Single Again, Tiger Might Be Planning To Make A Move
Tiger Woods may appear happy with his Olympic gold medalist girlfriend Lindsey Vonn, but sources say he could be planning a move to win back jilted ex-wife Elin Nordegren.
Woods and Nordegren famously split in 2009 after it was revealed that Tiger had a string of affairs. They officially divorced the next year.
Elin eventually moved on with billionaire coal mogul Christopher Cline, but the two recently split. With Elin single again, some sources close to Tiger believed he might try to win her back.
That was reportedly Lindsey Vonn’s fear as well. Sources said that even though Lindsey grew to be friends with Elin Nordegren, she feared that Tiger’s bond with the mother of his children was too strong.
Elin Nordegren hasn’t spoken about rumors that she could get back with Tiger Woods, but did speak about their relationship during a commencement speech following her graduation from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. In the speech Nordegren managed to crack a few jokes at Tiger’s expense.
“When I entered my student adviser office in the fall of 2005, I was 25 years old, I had just recently moved to America, I was married without children. Today, nine years later, I’m a proud American, and I have two beautiful children… but I’m no longer married.”
But Nordegren has said in the past that she and Tiger Woods have maintained an amicable relationship, with the animosity of his cheating scandal behind them both.
“I have moved on and I am in a good place,” she said in an an interview with People magazine. “My relationship with Tiger is centered around our children and we are doing really good – we really are – and I am so happy that is the case. He is a great father.”
Amid the reported uncertainty in her relationship with Tiger Woods, Lindsey Vonn appears to be focusing on what she does best — skiing. The gold medalist had a small stint in the fashion world recently but said she’s ready to start training again as she recovers from a knee injury.
