Janay Palmer, who is the woman featured in the disturbing Ray Rice video, is now speaking out. Janay, who is married to the former Baltimore Raven, has opened up about the entire situation, and some fans are surprised by what she’s saying.
Janay Palmer took to Instagram after the full video of her encounter with Ray Rice in an elevator earlier this year was released online, CBS reports.
In the video, Ray Rice is seen punching Janay Palmer, and knocking her out cold. An incident that first landed Rice a 2-game suspension, but after the full video was posted, the Balitmore Ravens decided to terminate his contract for good, leading to Janay’s words.
“To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his a– off for all his life just to gain ratings is a horrific (sic). If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you’ve succeeded on so many levels.”
Janay Palmer has obviously forgiven Ray Rice for punching her in the face earlier this year as she married the NFL star after the incident..
However, many fans, especially females, are outraged that Janay Palmer is standing by her man and sticking up for him after he did such a terrible, unforgivable thing. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, The NFL may have really dropped the ball on the whole situation.
Will Ray Rice go the way of Chris Brown and suffer greatly in his career, constantly trying to prove himself and gain the forgiveness of the fans, or will this all blow over after Ray is picked up by another team?
