Giants Vs. Lions Game Preempts ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Finale, Chris Harrison Apologizes
Some Bachelor in Paradise fans may not be able to watch the season finale due to Monday night’s Giants vs. Lions game and they aren’t too happy about it. Host Chris Harrison tweeted on Sunday that the dramatic season-ender would be preempted by Monday night football in select cities, something die-hard fans of the reality show did not want to hear.
“My apologies unfortunately there are certain cities where Monday Night Football will be shown instead of #BachelorInParadise finale.”
After Harrison tweeted out the bad news, fans tweeted back, asking how they could watch the show if it was blacked out in their area. The Bachelor in Paradise Season Finale is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET, but local ABC channels in New York City and Detroit will broadcast the Giants vs. Lions game instead.
For those who can’t wait to find out if Graham finally breaks up with AshLee or if Cody proposes to Michelle, there are a few viewing options available. Fans will be able to watch the finale in its entirety on ABC.com, but it won’t be available to view online until Tuesday.
If that’s too long to wait, the show’s producer, Robert Mills, tweeted that the finale would also air at 1:30 a.m. on local ABC channels in NYC and Detroit. Mills suggested that Bachelor in Paradise fans set their DVR to record the show, but there is no doubt that many viewers will stay up until the wee hours of the morning to see who gets engaged and who breaks up on the final episode Monday night.
