RiSe Dead: Ladies’ Code Singer Dies One Week After Accident That Killed EunB
RiSe from the K-Pop girl group Ladies’ Code has died.
According to The Epoch Times, the devastating news was confirmed by Ladies’ Code’s management agency, Polaris Entertainment. The statement was released online just a couple of hours ago.
“Kwon RiSe went to heaven on September 7, 10:10 a.m. Although every attempt at surgery and treatment was tried after she sustained serious injury to her head during the accident that occurred in the early morning of September 3, RiSe drew her final breath.”
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, a van carrying the group members got in a terrible accident earlier this month. Singer EunB was killed in the crash, many saying that she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van was also killed after the van hit a wall. Ladies’ Code members Sojung and RiSe were rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital in South Korea. There have been reports that RiSe was unconscious following the accident, and that she lost her fight today.
After news that RiSe died hit the internet, thousands of people tweeted “#RipRiSe” and started a worldwide trend. Fans of Ladies’ Code tweeted their condolences and heartfelt messages. EunB and RiSe were best friends, which explains so many of the heartbreaking messages.

The other members of Ladies’ Code are Sojung, Ashley, and Zuny. The only member still listed in critical condition is Sojung. The 21-year-old underwent surgery and was said to be recovering as of yesterday. She reportedly had a jawbone injury which will need more treatment following her surgery. She is still in the ICU, some believing that she hasn’t even been told about the deaths of her two friends, EunB and RiSe. RiSe was just 23-years-old.
According to The Korea Times, Ashley and Zuny were inconsolable at EunB’s funeral. In a photo, Zuny was seen wearing a neck brace. Both were said to have minor injuries after the accident.
