These 25 ‘Destiny’ Codes Unlock Grimoire Cards And More For PlayStation And Xbox
Bungie’s Destiny is launching on PlayStation and Xbox consoles this Tuesday, but you can go ahead and unlock some content for your Guardians now. A collection of 25 codes is available that will unlock Grimoire cards, Emblems, and Shaders.
Reddit user A13x231 collected the codes from things like the recently released Destiny Planet View application and the Destiny Limited Edition. The result is that you can start your adventure with some customizations and boosts ready to go when you fire the game up on your console.
To unlock the codes, head over to Bungie’s code redemption portal where you will be able to login with your PSN or Xbox LIVE account and redeem the codes. The Grimoire Cards will automatically be added to your collection while the Emblems and Shaders can be picked up from the Special Orders vendor in the Tower.
For those that don’t know, Grimoire Cards provide Destiny lore and are similar to Achievements which can be unlocked in the game by performing actions like killing a certain number of enemies or finding new locations. Leveling these cards up will grant bonuses like extra experience or loot as you progress.
Meanwhile, Emblems are custom backgrounds for player nameplates and Shaders allow users to apply a new color scheme to their Guardians armor. There are certain class and armor restrictions, however.
YouTube video creator DattoDoesDestiny provides a great explanation about Grimoire Cards in the following video.

Don’t forget that you can purchase the digital version of Destiny for the PS3 from the PlayStation Store and receive a free digital copy of the PS4 version, as The Inquisitr reported. The same works when purchasing the Xbox 360 digital copy from the Xbox Store to receive a free Xbox One copy. Characters and content will transfer between the consoles in each console family too.
