Even at 41, Heidi Klum sure knows how to turn heads. She recently did just that as she strutted the runway for a special Project Runway presentation for New York Fashion Week.
During the presentation on Friday, September 5, Heidi was joined by her fellow judges Nina Garcia, Zac Posen, and celebrity guest judge Emmy Rossum. Suffice it to say, the whole group turned out looking sharp and fashionable, but it was Heidi who truly stole the show.
The Daily Mail reports that the mother of four wore a figure hugging fuchsia minidress with crystal jewel adornments and matching high heel stiletto shoes.
Project Runway just wrapped its 13th season, with the season finale being the fashion show at Fashion Week. The top two contestants will battle it out with their designs on the catwalk for the chance to win the Project Runway crown.
Recently, Klum and company opened up about the 15 contestants who made up Season 13. Zap2It had an exclusive interview with Klum and the other judges who sounded off about the Season 13 contestants being the cattiest of all time. When Heidi was asked to comment, she offered the following observation:
“They’re more b–chy behind the scenes. To us, they’re always little lambs.”
Heidi Klum is most likely referring to how incredibly mean the designer contestants are to one another. In Season 13 of Project Runway , the contestants have not been shy about openly trash talking one another, and have even ganged up on one contestant at a point in the season.
Zack Posen was quick to explain the likely reason for all the drama.
“The viewers are watching. The fans are avid. I think social media has played a really big part in that. [The designers] know the stakes are really high and they’re going for it. They’re going to build real careers for themselves if they want it.”
In other news , Heidi Klum has traded her designer gowns and stilettos for an apron to cook for the charity God’s Love We Deliver. Her work took place the very same day that fashion comedienne Joan Rivers passed away. Rivers was reportedly a big supporter of the charity. Klum took to the kitchen to slice and prep food that will be delivered to New York citizens who are unable to cook or even shop for healthy food on their own.
All and all, it seems like it’s been a busy week for Heidi Klum in New York.
