Jay Z & Beyoncé Fight Divorce Rumors With Romantic Vacation In Corsica
Jay Z and Beyoncé are putting the divorce rumors on hold as they traveled to Corsica to celebrate the singer’s 33rd birthday.
The couple, who have faced seemingly endless divorce rumors in recent weeks, kept with their tradition of spending Beyoncé’s birthday overseas. Both Jay Z and Beyoncé were spotted getting off a private jet at Bastia-Poretta airport, where sources said they were settling in for a relaxing vacation.
A source said the couple appeared happy, and Jay Z even tipped the flight attendant €500.
Jay Z and Beyoncé are reportedly sparing no expense for the vacation. E! News reported that they are chartering a luxury yacht for the trip, one that runs $800,000 a week.
A source told the site that the couple is trying their best to move on from the turmoil of the past few weeks.
“They’ve had their problems, but they’re still solid,” the source said. “Going away for Beyoncé’s birthday in September is a tradition they have. It’s a chance to get some quality time together and relax far from worries about their crazy work schedules.”
That seems a bit of a change from reports just a few weeks ago that Jay Z and Beyoncé were headed for an almost certain divorce. After a number of stories emerged about Jay Z’s alleged affairs, reports said that Beyoncé had reached her breaking point and was putting the wheels in motion for a divorce.
Several outlets have claimed that Jay Z and Beyoncé had planned to announce their divorce at the conclusion of the summer “On the Run” tour, which has just a few days left. The couple finished the American leg of the tour and will travel to Paris for a two-day conclusion, September 12 and 13.
But other sources, including family members, claim that the divorce reports are overblown. Beyoncé’s father even implied that it all could be fabricated as a way to draw attention to their summer tour.
There could be another reason for the reconciliation. A source told OK! Magazine that Beyoncé is actually pregnant with baby No. 2.
“For the last month, Jay has been fiercely protective of her, just like he was when she was expecting Blue Ivy,” the source told the magazine. “He’s been doing everything he can to ensure that Bey is in a stress-free bubble. He’s informed their entire entourage that they need to use relaxed voices, mellow lighting and listen to only soft music, and he’s said that all of the food Beyoncé eats should be organic.”
If Jay Z and Beyoncé are headed for divorce — or expecting another child — they aren’t saying much. The couple hasn’t addressed any of the rumors publicly.
