Zayn Malik Says New One Direction Album Is Coming Very Soon
Zayn Malik recently revealed that the new One Direction album is heading to retail in the very near future. Unfortunately, he didn’t say when.
By this point, 1D fans know that new material is heading to their ears sometime soon. Very soon, in fact. However, trying to nail down a specific date is an almost impossible task. Although Malik and the boys have no trouble vaguely discussing the project, they’ve steered clear of putting a finer point on its release. Way to tease your supporters, guys.
Then again, if Malik and the gang didn’t spend some of their free time stirring the proverbial pot, then we wouldn’t have articles like this floating around the internet. That said, we’re sure fans would love nothing more than to get their eager hands on some new One Direction material. These folks will take whatever they can get.
According to MTV News UK, Zayn Malik recently teased the new project with a post on Instagram. The caption was purposely cryptic, but it was enough to get 1D fanatics discussing the project all over again. At the end of the day, that’s exactly what Zayn and company want. If people are talking, then they’re paying attention.
“The new album is coming very soon and I’m very excited,” Malik explained.
Not surprisingly, Zayn isn’t the only member of the group trying to spread the good word about the forthcoming project. Entertainmentwise explained that fellow singer Niall Horan is also pretty pumped about the record. The guy is practically jumping out of his skin to share the new music with his legion of loyal supporters.
“I think it’s going to be a little bit more edgy. But obviously, we feel like we’ve got some really good songs and we are happy,” Horan recently explained.
In addition to Zayn Malik and Niall Horan, Simon Cowell also has nothing but wonderful things to say about the band’s new material. Although he recently put his foot directly into his mouth by suggesting One Direction only has about two albums left before the group implodes, he seems especially excited about what the boys are crafting in the studio.
“The album’s fantastic. There’s probably five or six tracks I’ve already heard that could be singles. here’s some very different kind of songs than what we’ve done before, they’re taken a few more risk. Most importantly, the boys love writing, they love recording.”
