Kendall Jenner To Star In ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Sequel?
Kendall Jenner has already conquered the modeling world at 18 years old, so will the reality show star take the next logical step by trying to act?
According to The Daily Mail, Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Wood would love to help Kendall get her movie career started by giving her a role in the Fifty Shades sequel. A source told Grazia Magazine that Taylor-Wood is actually a big fan of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and she already tried to get Kendall Jenner a part in the first film.
“She’s fascinated by her and expressed interest in her appearing in the first film but it didn’t happen.”
It’s highly unlikely that Sam Taylor-Wood tried to snag Kendall Jenner for the role of student sex slave Anastasia Steele—this would be a huge part to offer to someone with no acting experience. Instead she probably had a smaller part in mind, much like the roles that Kim Kardashian occasionally manages to land. One of Kim K’s latest was a marriage counselor named Ava in Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.
The Grazia source made sure to state that Kendall Jenner’s role in Fifty Shades of Grey sequel would be a small one.
“It wouldn’t be a major role but would certainly be a foot in the door of. Hollywood. Apparently, she’ll only sign on once Sam Taylor-Wood is confirmed as the director.”
Universal is also reportedly keen to snag Kendall for the sequel. But which character would she play in Fifty Shades Darker?
One of the more important characters who will be introduced in the sequel is Leila Williams, an ex-submissive of Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) who suffers a mental breakdown. However, Kendall Jenner might be too young for this role. Leila is also described as looking strikingly similar to Anastasia Steele, and Kendall Jenner looks nothing like Ana actress Dakota Johnson. According to Cosmoplitan, Katie Cassidy is probably a frontrunner for the Leila Williams role.
One small role that Kendall Jenner might be comfortable taking on is that of Mia Grey’s friend Lily, a very minor character who has a crush on Christian Grey. Lily pops up at the Coping Together charity ball, and her mask can’t disguise how jealous she is of Anastasia Steele. The masquerade mask makes this role perfect for a first-time actress like Kendall—it will help her hide her nerves. There’s just one tiny little problem with casting Kendall Jenner as Mia Grey’s friend.
As The Inquisitr previously reported, Rita Ora and Rob Kardashian had a very messy breakup, and some members of the Kardashian clan believe that Rita did Rob wrong. There were even reports that Kim Kardashian asked to sit at a different table than Rita Ora at the MTV VMAs. If Kendall Jenner shares Kim’s feelings for the singer, she probably won’t agree to play Mia Grey’s BFF.
