Jill Duggar Talks Pregnancy, Shuts Down Rumors Of Breaking Chastity Vows Before Marriage
Jill Duggar is speaking out about why she and husband, Derick Dillard, announced their pregnancy only weeks after their wedding day, and the 19 Kids And Counting star is shutting down all rumors that she broke her chastity vow to save herself for marriage.
Fans of Jill Duggar and the TLC show, 19 Kids And Counting, know that all the Duggar children are held to high standards when it comes to the dating game. Before any of the Duggar children are able to even think about courting, they need to have special permission from their father and mother, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Once they have received approval to begin courting, the Duggar children are not allowed to be physical other than the occasional side hug when greeting and saying goodbye. Any other physical activities, such as kissing or sexual activity, are to be saved for their wedding day.
Because Jill and Derick exchanged their vows this summer before promptly announcing their pregnancy with their first child, many began to wonder if the two had stuck to their vows of chastity. According to US Weekly, the couple announced their pregnancy on August 20, only two months after they tied the knot.

In an interview with Page Six, Jill Duggar has opened up about why her and Derick decided to announce their pregnancy so early:
“Understanding that the majority of miscarriages happen within the first trimester, and believing that every life is precious no matter how young, we decided to share our joyful news as soon as we could,” the 23-year-old Duggar said Tuesday.
In other Duggar news, an earlier report by The Inquisitr, Jill Duggar also opened up about her struggles with the pregnancy and hinted that the couple will be having a little baby girl! The Inquisitr stated that, much like her mother, Michelle, Jill has been battling a nasty case of morning sickness, though she claims that it should be simply called “pregnancy sickness” because it lasts all day.
“I’ve been having a lot of morning sickness. They should call it ‘pregnancy sickness’ because it’s all day, but I’m feeling good today! I’m thanking God for this little life and the good signs. It’s well worth it,” Jill said in an earlier interview with Yahoo! News.
So what are some of the early hints that Jill and Derick may be having a girl? A recent photograph posted to her Instagram account featured the two and a little pair of baby shoes that look like they belong to a little girl.
