Justin Bieber Visits Hospital For Alleged Sprained Wrist, Selena Gomez Hits NYC
Justin Bieber reportedly visited a hospital in Canada for an alleged sprained wrist on Wednesday.
Justin Bieber was reportedly taken to a Canadian hospital with an alleged sprained wrist on Wednesday.
The “Baby” singer and on-again girlfriend Selena Gomez recently visited Bieber’s native country, before the starlet flew to New York City earlier this week.
According to TMZ, Bieber visited the Stratford General Hospital in Ontario to have his wrist examined.
The website claims sources said the singer was found to have a sprain.
It’s not known if the 20-year-old’s hospital visit is a result of a collision between an ATV he was driving and a paparazzo-driven minivan on August 29.
The Ontario Provincial Police allege Bieber and an occupant of the minivan “engaged in a physical altercation,” on Friday afternoon after a collision shortly after 3 pm on a country highway 10-minutes drive east of Justin’s hometown Stratford, Ontario.
The singer turned himself in to a police station in Perth County, Ontario, on Monday and was arrested and charged with dangerous driving and assault, the AP reports. Bieber was released on a promise to appear in court on September 29, Constable Kees Wijnands told reporters Tuesday.
Online photographs taken Friday and published by TMZ over Labor Day weekend, showed Bieber riding an ATV vehicle with Gomez. It was later revealed the minivan Justin collided with was occupied by two paparazzi.
TMZ reports Justin’s latest arrest and charging has triggered an investigation by the L.A. County Probation Department, to determine whether it violates his probation sentence in another case.

Bieber was placed on two-years probation in July, after pleading no contest to an egging-related misdemeanor vandalism charge in an L.A. case. Probation Department officials are reportedly contacting law enforcement in Canada to verify details of the incident.
Following his client’s arrest, attorney Brian H. Greenspan released a statement to People on Tuesday, which read: “Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi.
He added: “This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault. Mr. Bieber and Ms. Gomez have fully cooperated in the police investigation. We are hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved.”

On September 2, TMZ reported sources in Justin’s camp confirm there was a collision, but deny any assault or physical altercation took place between the singer and the paparazzo.
The sources claim the paparazzi stayed in the minivan taking photos of Bieber and Gomez after the collision, and were told to leave the property by Justin.
The site revealed Bieber’s camp claim the paparazzi trespassed on to private land owned by Justin’s father, Jeremy, to take photos of the couple as they rode the ATV and followed them all day.
CBC News reported two Ontario Provincial Police officers went to Jeremy’s home in Perth East on Tuesday, after paparazzi trespassed on his property.
TMZ add Bieber’s camp claim Canada has a particular approach to charges. According to the sources, when a complaint is filed by one party against another in Canada charges are automatically laid against the accused — then a full investigation takes place.
In the site’s report, it was said Bieber and his legal team intend to fight the case in court.
CBC News reports the Canadian paparazzi involved in the incident are now represented by famed US attorney Gloria Allred.
In an email notifying The Canadian Press, Allred refers to her clients as “two victims” and called the accident “a serious matter that could have an impact on Mr. Bieber’s probation status in California.”
Meanwhile, Selena was spotted returning to her hotel in NYC on Tuesday evening, before wowing in all black to attend the Adidas NEO Label Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2015 on Wednesday.
