‘Duck Dynasty’: Phil Robertson Says He’s ‘As Much Of a Homophobe As Jesus’
The Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson became infamous in the homosexual community after the GQ interview, but now Phil is comparing himself to Jesus by saying that he’s “as much of a homophobe as Jesus.”
In a related report by The Inquisitr, although some people call Duck Dynasty fake, when one young fan visited Phil Robertson out of the blue he found the head of the Duck Commander to be “exactly what you see on TV.” Leaked rumors about Duck Dynasty Season 7 have started to come out and it’s claimed that Phil will feel “trapped” in a “Yuppieville.”
When Phil looks at our culture in America he says he can “look in any direction and go whoa”… and he’s not talking about the overwhelming number of yuppies. Instead, Phil is talking about the comments that had him temporarily suspended by A&E from Duck Dynasty. He’s not backing down, either, and he’s written a book called UnPHILtered that discusses his thoughts on business, family, and faith, and he also wanted to clarify his thoughts related to the GQ interview.
Phil Robertson appeared on Good Morning America earlier today and reporter Ryan Owens asked, “Would you consider yourself a homophobe?” Phil did not duck the question but instead turned it around.
“I’m as much of a homophobe as Jesus was. People who are participating in homosexual behavior, they need to know that I love them.”
In the original GQ interview, Phil called homosexual behavior a sin and he says his belief in that statement rests solely on the Bible.
“The only place I know of that I could have gone to answer that question would be a Bible. The dictionary wouldn’t have explained it. An encyclopedia would have explained it, whether it was a sin or not. So, I went to the only source I had to answer his question. “
Phil also revealed that he doesn’t use social media in any form so he does not even hear what the critics are saying on the internet.
“I don’t own a cell phone. I don’t have one. I never turned on a computer in my life. So whatever America is saying or not saying about, me true or untrue, what they need to understand is I’m not hearing it.”
