Carrie Underwood is pregnant! The country star took to Twitter on Labor Day (how fitting!) to announce that she and her husband, Mike Fisher, are expecting their first child together! Carrie enlisted the help of her two dogs, Ace and Penny, who were wearing “I’m going to be a big brother” and “I’m going to be a big sister” shirts to help make the announcement.

Carrie Underwood didn’t show off any baby bump or give any other details — such as a due date — but her announcement was very well-received by thousands of fans. Somehow the singer was able to keep her pregnancy a secret until the time was right — and apparently that time was today!
According to Enstars , Underwood has been on tour this year, and has a pretty big gig coming up on Sept. 27. She will be performing at the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, where all eyes will be on her tummy! Many believe that Carrie will make mention of her pregnancy in another formal way, perhaps during an upcoming public performance or appearance.
Carrie has had quite a successful 2014 so far. Memorably, the American Idol alum teamed up with fellow country star Miranda Lambert for a song called Somethin’ Bad which topped charts for weeks. Carrie made a lifelong friend in Miranda — and their husbands became friends too! As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Mike Fisher and Blake Shelton seem to have quite the bromance going on!
“During the ACMs, we actually hung out quite a bit because we were there for a few days and our husbands got to talk. I think there’s a bit of a bromance going on. [Blake’s] got a lot of bromances going on. I won’t talk to Mike about it — I don’t want to make him jealous!”
Rumors about Carrie Underwood being pregnant have circulated in the past, but nothing really crazy. The singer has been able to enjoy her life with Fisher without too much media-based drama, which has been great. Hopefully the media will continue to leave Carrie alone so that she can enjoy her pregnancy.
She and Mike will likely raise their child in Nashville where they own a home.
Oh, and as far as a name? Mike thinks “Fly” would be perfect.
We haven’t picked names yet but it’s looking like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher
