Christy Mack wants to pay it forward. The beautiful and talented former adult film actress received more online donations than she needs after ex-boyfriend, MMA fighter War Machine, allegedly beat her after letting himself into her apartment and finding another man in her bed.
According to multiple reports and eyewitness testimony, War Machine, whose real name is Jon Koppenhaver, attacked Mack’s companion before turning on her. The circumstances surrounding the attack are barely relevant. As porn star Kendall Karson wrote on GiveForward, “There is NEVER any situation or excuse that justifies violence against a woman!”
The 23-year-old adult film star has an estimated net worth of $500,000, according to Celebrity Net Worth . After word of her traumatic injuries became public, a fellow film star named Kendall Karson started an online fundraising campaign to assist Mack with her mounting medical bills. Now that fund stands at $90,266, and Mack only wants to keep enough to pay for healthcare expenses related to her attack. GiveForward lists her injuries as “18 broken bones around her eyes, a broken nose in 2 places, several missing and broken teeth, a fractured rib, a ruptured liver, injured leg and swelling.”
What will Christy Mack do with the excess donations? She plans to donate the money to charities and shelters that help victims of domestic violence, reported WebProNews .
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , an unnamed source started a rumor that Mack would return to porn as soon as possible after her recovery from the brutal attack allegedly at the hands of MMA fighter War Machine. However, Mack herself announced via Twitter that she would not be returning to the skin trade post-recovery. Mack has other endeavors to keep her busy without taking off her clothes, such as her online store, posters, paid public appearances, and adult toys.
Christy Mack will need facial reconstruction surgery as part of the recovery process, and one generous plastic surgeon offered his services to the former porn star without a fee. There is no word on whether Mack will also have the massive red “Property of War Machine” tattoo removed from her shoulder, but the ink can only be a bad reminder of her horrific experience at this point. Removing it seems like a good option and the first step towards healing emotionally from the attack. Domestic violence is wrong under any circumstances, and no woman is property. Here’s wishing Christy Mack a speedy recovery.
