Inside Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt’s Wedding: The Dress And The Guests

By now we all know that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt said “I do” in France over the weekend. When the news hit earlier today we had little information to go on, but now we know a few details, and a big one has to do with Jolie’s wedding dress.

According to E! Jolie wore a traditional white dress. While the dress is said to be “very traditional” it was also “very Angie.” As for the details on the gown, it was floor-length made of lace and silk. So far we don’t know which designer Jolie used, but if anything is certain it’s that whoever she picked must of had to sign NDAs to keep the wedding under wraps.

Additionally Angelina paid tribute to her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away in 2007. Although her mother couldn’t be present for her special day, Jolie made sure to wear a small gold locket with a photo of her mother inside of the locket.

As for Brad Pitt it’s said the actor was stunned by how beautiful his bride looked. A source told E! “Brad lifted [the veil] and [he] gasped because she looked so stunning.”

Earlier we reported that the couple were wed on Saturday in a very private ceremony at Chateau Miraval in France. As for the Jolie-Pitt brood all of the children were there to celebrate the big day. While Jolie had joked earlier that the theme of the wedding might be “disney or paint balling” themed it was said to be a simple occasion.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Knox Jolie-Pitt acted as the couple’s ring bearers while Vivienne Jolie-Pitt and Zahara Jolie-Pitt threw petals down the aisle. It’s reported that Jolie’s father Jon Voight was not present for the wedding, so she was walked down the aisle by her sons Maddox Jolie-Pitt and Pax Jolie-Pitt.

In fact, Voight wasn’t even aware of the wedding until he found out like everyone else via the media. The sometimes estranged father of Jolie had a busy weekend as it is, as he was at the Emmy celebrations. The veteran actor was nominated for Showtime’s Ray Donovan. As for Angelina’s brother James Haven, it’s not known whether or not he attended the wedding, but he was seen at one point with Voight, which may mean he missed the occasion as well.

That said it’s suspected that Brad Pitt’s mother, Jane, and father, Bill attended the wedding. The only relatives we have confirmation on is Pitt’s younger brother Doug, and sister Julie Pitt.

Jolie and Pitt have been together since 2005, but only started talking about their relationship publicly in 2006. This is the third marriage for Angelina Jolie and the second marriage for Brad Pitt who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston.
