Sadie Robertson Joins ‘Dancing With The Stars’: Will She Become The Next Bristol Palin?
Sadie Robertson is joining the season 19 of Dancing with the Stars, making her the first member of the Duck Commander crew to trade her rubber hunting boots for dancing shoes.
According to Us Weekly, Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson joins fellow contestants Janel Parrish, Lolo Jones and Antonio Sabato Jr. Obviously Willie Robertson’s daughter will have to rock a camo dress at some point, and she and her partner should definitely dress up like the dog and one of the doomed ducks from Nintendo’s Duck Hunt video game.

Sadie Robertson is a big fan of ABC’s dancing competition. Her mother, Korie Robertson, told Us Weekly that the 17-year-old is relishing the spotlight, and she’s hoping to turn her appearance on Duck Dynasty into a TV career.
“I think that our kids are really natural in front of the camera, and they have fun with it. Sadie I think wants to maybe be on a talk show and she wants to be on Dancing with the Stars!”
Now Sadie can check one of her TV goals off of that shortlist, and until she gets that talk show, the teen can spend her time enjoying other pursuits that keep her in the spotlight. As The Inquistir previously reported, Duck Dynasty has been renewed for at least two new season, so Sadie Robertson can continue bonding with her family in front of A&E’s cameras. She also has a religious YouTube series titled The New Different and a budding modeling career.
According to Us Weekly, Sadie Robertson has already rocked the runway at New York Fashion Week wearing a prom dress at the Evening By Sherri Hill Spring 2014 show. Robertson partnered with Sherri Hill to create her own line of modest, daddy-approved prom dresses.

Sadie Robertson has the potential to become another Bristol Palin on season 19 of Dancing with the Stars. According to a People magazine report, Bristol’s third-place finish caused some controversy after her dancing skills failed to wow the judges. Her scores were some of the lowest throughout season 11, but she kept surviving week after week. The theory was that members of the Tea Party were keeping Sarah Palin’s daughter on the show by encouraging other Tea Party members to vote for Bristol. One Tea Partier on the Free Republic website wrote that doing so “would make liberal heads explode.”
Like Sarah Palin, the Duck Dynasty clan has plenty of Tea Party fans. According to the Daily News, Tea Party darling Ted Cruz offered his support for Phil Robertson after the Duck Commander was suspended for the vulgar and bizarre homophobic rant that he went on during a GQ interview. If the family’s high-profile conservative fans voice their support for Sadie Robertson, she could go far on Dancing with the Stars.
If Sadie Robertson’s Dancing with the Stars appearance leads to other TV gigs, she’s not going to let the attention go to her head. During an interview with FOX 411, she explained how she’s different than celebs like Miley Cyrus when it comes to enjoying her fame.
“I get a tweet at least once a day that says, ‘I hope Sadie Robertson doesn’t turn out like Miley Cyrus.’ When you’re famous you do get so much attention that I can see how you could just think the world of yourself. I think if you go into it thinking that this is not for me, that this is for God, you’ll be okay.”
