Vin Diesel Sings ‘Stay With Me’ by Sam Smith – And It Doesn’t Sound That Bad! (VIDEO)

Vin Diesel sings Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” – and it does not sound very bad at all!

Vin posted a video to his official Facebook page on Tuesday of himself singing the hit Sam Smith single, “Stay With Me.”

This is not the first time that Vin Diesel sings a popular, hit single and posted a video of himself doing it. You probably remember the viral video where Vin Diesel sings and dances to Katy Perry’s hit song, “Dark Horse” and the Beyoncé hit “Drunk in Love,” right?

Well, this time around, Vin Diesel sings a hit song without any type of profound message to share either before or after his performance. Perhaps Vin was moved by Sam Smith’s performance of this song at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards this past Sunday. They say that imitation is the best form of flattery, so maybe Vin just wanted to take a moment to flatter Sam Smith.

Keep in mind that this is not even the first time that Vin Diesel was caught on camera singing “Stay With Me.” Back in July, Vin was asked by UK’s Capital FM to sing this popular song with his unique and very deep voice. That performance generated a lot of buzz, according to People.

Vin even grabbed Sam Smith’s attention with that performance back in July as well.

All of the positive feedback and reactions that his first performance generated could have inspired Vin Diesel to perform the full song in this Facebook video. You can clearly tell from the video that he wasn’t trying to outdo Sam Smith with his performance, because his singing is definitely not something that would qualify him to win American Idol or anything. However, it could easily pass for one of those late-night karaoke bar performances where most people refuse to boo him off of the stage because (1) many people find him attractive, (2) many people love that song and (3) his voice is not that bad.

Chances are that you have heard worse! Heck, chances are that you are probably worse. When was the last time that you posted a video of yourself singing a popular yet hard-to-pull-off song online for over 83.6 million people to hear? Exactly! On the other hand, Vin Diesel has every right to be in a good mood. Guardians of the Galaxy officially became the highest-grossing movie of the summer.

He wrapped production on the highly-anticipated Fast and Furious 7 earlier this year, giving him an opportunity to provide his late friend and co-star Paul Walker a proper cinematic send-off. Vin is also currently working on several other projects – both confirmed and rumored – which will be developed and released in the not-too-distant future.

Therefore, Vin Diesel can basically do whatever he wants! Who knows? Perhaps the next video Vin posts to his Facebook page will be a duet of the same song between him and Sam Smith. With Vin’s deep voice and a little vocal training, that could actually turn out to be a beautiful remix.
