WWE News: Hulk Hogan Making Raw Appearance, But Hoping For Wrestling Comeback
The WWE news this week was good for Hulk Hogan fans, who will get to see he wrestling legend on Monday’s Raw episode, but it appears the Hulkster may have bigger plans in mind
Hogan will be headed to Raw as part of a legends forum that also includes Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair. Hogan played up the performance with an announcement Saturday on Twitter.
You can’t bring legends together w/o me brother.Got some stuff to say about MY champ @JohnCena, see you Hulkamaniacs at #Raw on Monday HH

Fans won’t get to see much action from the aging wrestlers. SB Nation notes that the appearance is meant to build anticipation for the upcoming Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena match:
This is all in anticipation of a big segment WWE has planned to kick off next Monday night’s episode of Raw, what’s being called a “Hall of Fame Forum”. The aforementioned group of legends will be there to discuss the upcoming Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena rematch at Night of Champions, presumably so Flair and Hogan can praise Cena’s respect for the business while Michaels plays the role of putting over how dangerous Lesnar is as a wildcard.
That’s usually how these things go.
But Hulk Hogan appears to have bigger aims for the WWE. Sources say he’s been on a campaign to get back into wrestling shape and is trying to get a match set up for Wrestlemania next year. Hogan reportedly wants to work with either John Cena or Steve Austin, but so far WWE officials aren’t too responsive.
There could be some problems with the Hulk Hogan comeback, apart from the WWE”s apparent reluctance to schedule a match. Austin reportedly doesn’t have any interest in wrestling again either, and some insiders believe the WWE might have difficult finding anyone who could match up against him.
It seems that if WWE fans want to see Hulk Hogan anywhere near the ring again, they’ll need to tune in to Raw this week.
