Zayn Malik Is The Only Member Of One Direction Who Hasn’t Completed The Ice Bucket Challenge

Zayn Malik can only avoid the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge for so long before his One Direction band mates force him to participate by grabbing a bucket of cold water and ambushing him.

According to The Epoch Times, Directioners are getting antsy about Zayn Malik’s failure to douse himself with ice water. A majority of the celebrities on Twitter have completed the viral challenge to raise money for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), but perhaps Zayn is just too cool to follow the crowd.

It’s also possible that Zayn Malik is pouting because none of his One Direction band mates nominated him to do the Ice Bucket Challenge. However, there’s definitely no shortage of Directioners desperately begging the singer to douse himself.

As The Inquisitr previously reported, Niall Horan nominated Louis Tomlinson to complete the challenge. Louis posted his Ice Bucket Challenge video on Instagram, and he looked pretty petrified in it. After two pals poured water on his head, he warmed up by jumping into a lake.

Tomlinson nominated Prince Harry, Mayor of London Boris Johnson, and Arsenal football manager Arsène Wenger. Directioners were sorely disappointed that Louis didn’t include Zayn Malik on his list of nominees.

Harry Styles got creative with his Ice Bucket Challenge by having a pal pour water on his head from a balcony. According to Unreality TV, Harry’s challenge took place at the home of Kings of Leon star Nathan Followill. Once again, there was no mention of Zayn Malik. Instead Styles nominated Kanye West, recording artist manager Irving Azoff, and actress Susan Sarandon (Harry has a thing for cougars, remember?).

Liam Payne was nominated by Cheryl Cole. He enlisted the help of a few lucky Directioners to help him complete his mission, and he challenged Pharrell Williams, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, and girlfriend Sophia Smith to get cold and wet. Even though he listed more than the three traditional nominees, he didn’t tack Zayn Malik’s name on the end of his list.

There have long been rumors of One Direction’s demise, and Simon Cowell himself said that a split might be imminent. Perhaps Zayn Malik’s band mates aren’t nominating him because there’s some kind of behind-the-scenes drama going on and they just aren’t getting along — or maybe they simply know that Zayn Malik has been nominated by someone else.

Whatever the case may be, Simon Cowell recently tried to walk back on his words about One Direction breaking up. He used Twitter to pour cold water on rumors of a 1D split.
