Antonio Banderas Parties Away In Saint-Tropez In Wake Of Melanie Griffith Split
Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith split in June after being married for 18 years, and it looks like Banderas is making some romantic connections with others in the wake of the split. The actor has been spending some time in Saint-Tropez, and it doesn’t look like he’s hurting for companionship.
The Daily Mail shares the shots of Antonio Banderas getting in some quality time with a mystery lady at the harbor. The shots come after an evening of getting a bit cozy with several other ladies at L’Opera Saturday evening where he danced and partied the night away.
While Banderas is living life to the fullest, it seems, Melanie Griffith seems to be laying low for the most part. She was spotted a few days ago at a nail salon getting a mani-pedi, and other shots recently caught her working on getting rid of her Antonio tattoo.
Antonio and Melanie announced their separation on June 6, with sources telling Us Weekly that it had been “a long time coming.” Supposedly there had been no cheating on either side, though rumors have swirled over the years about supposed indiscretions. Of course as fans of the couple know, there have been quite a few challenges over the course of the relationship, and they’ve been fairly open about many of them.
Banderas and Griffith have one daughter together, Stella, who is almost 18. Melanie also has a son with former husband Steven Bauer and a daughter with former husband Don Johnson. This divorce will be Griffith’s fourth, and Banderas’ second. Their rep has said they “have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost 20-year marriage” and that the two are doing it “in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family, and friends.”
Antonio’s latest project, The Expendables 3, just opened and garnered fourth place at the box office. As for Griffith, her daughter Dakota of course stars as Anastasia Steele in the film version of Fifty Shades of Grey. Melanie has shared via IndieWire that she won’t be watching the film, nor will Dakota’s dad Don Johnson.
Griffith is set to tackle Broadway this winter, and she says these days it’s all about “finding great work and having a good time.” She says that despite the looming divorce, she’s happy and joyful, and “Life is good.” From the sounds of things, while Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas are approaching life post-split differently, they’re both doing pretty well and having some fun.
