A Reason to Hope for the Apocalypse; Porn Studio Builds Doomsday Bunker

Just because the world is ending doesn’t mean that you can’t live in style. That seems to be the mantra of Pink Visual, a Los Angeles porn studio that has just started construction on an underground doom bunker to survive the inevitable 2012 apocalypse.

The “post-apocalyptic” underground bunker will be much “more than a mere bomb shelter or subterranean survivalist enclave,” according to Quentin Boyer a spokesman to Pink Visual.

Boyer said:

“Our goal is nothing less than to survive the apocalypse in comfort and luxury. Whether that catastrophe takes the form of fireballs flung earthward by an all-seeing deity, extended torrential rainfall, Biblical rapture, an earthquake-driven mega-tsunami, radioactive flesh-eating zombies, or some combination of the above.”

So what sets the Pink Visual bunker apart from other apocalyptic shelters? CBS reports that Pink Visual is planning to have plenty of booze, a few performance stages, and of course, dancers. Pink Visual also plans to have internet in their lavish cave, although Boyer admits, it may be contained to a small local network.

And they aren’t joking, either. The porn studio has drawn up plans, and according to CBS, construction has already started. Pink Visual plans on having the bunker finished by September of 2012, just in time before the December 21st, 2012 rapture.

Pink Visual personnel will have first dibs on a seat in the “post-apocalyptic” party pad, but the porn studio said that they will accept a certain number of average Joes and Janes to enjoy the rapture with them.

Boyer couldn’t give an exact number of how many people the bunker could hold, but the LA Weekly estimates that it will be anywhere from 12,000 to 15,000 people. So who will be included?

Boyer said that the selection process will: “likely include both merit-based and random selections, with Pink Visual performers, active site members and Twitter followers getting priority over the general public.”

But why chance it? If the apocalypse does come in 2012, the Pink Visual doom bunker would be a pretty cool place to ride it out.
