Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Making Early Return A Month Early

Who says pumpkin is only for the months of October and November? Starbucks is bringing the fall back a little bit early. The company has announced that their popular drink, the Pumpkin Spice Latte, is arriving at their headquarters a bit earlier this year.

How early, you ask? Well, according to a Starbucks spokesperson, they’re anticipating the drink to be available for customers at the end of August. The official date right now is a tentative September 2, but some excited customers will be able to enjoy their Pumpkin Spice treat starting August 25.

To the delight of many avid Starbucks customers, the official Starbucks account announced the news officially via a tweet which, as you can guess, garnered a lot of excitement on Twitter.

The response was almost immediate upon Starbucks’ announcement:

The news has went viral to the point that even Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon announced the news during his opening monologue.

Also, for fans that want to exclusively hear news about the particular drink, Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte has its own Twitter account. The account, which has hilariously taken on a personality, has already been posting fanmade memes, gifs, and random tweets about the inner dialogue of a Pumpkin Spice Latte drink.

Could you imagine living in a world without Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte? The drink, established in 2003 by Starbuck,s almost never happened. According to Arts. Mic, the project was almost stopped due to the priorities of more established drinks like cinnamon spice and chocolate.

So what exactly makes the drink so great? Well, aside from its association to all things fall, the drink’s ingredients include cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and of course, pumpkin pie spices. Oddly enough, if you’re looking for actual pumpkin ingredients then you will be very disappointed.
