Cristiano Ronaldo Loves Gareth Bale, Can We Say Bromance?
It’s no secret that Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale like each other, but the Portuguese superstar took things a step further when he said of his teammate: “I love him.” Following Real Madrid’s UEFA Super Cup victory over Sevilla on Tuesday — Ronaldo’s first — the two stars seem to be getting ever closer.
When Gareth Bale was transferred from Tottenham last summer, many questioned how he would fit into the scheme of things at Real, especially considering the star power Ronaldo has in Los Blancos’ lineup. Obviously, manager Carlo Ancelotti has figured out how to make things work, and the Bale-Ronaldo duo has turned in one of the most lethal combos in all of football.
One of the reasons Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace against Sevilla, propelling Real Madrid to their first title of the season, was Gareth Bale and this magnificent pass. However, the Ballon d’Or winner didn’t take all the credit and acknowledged the Welshman following this beauty.
Amazing, isn’t it? The rest of La Liga better take note, since it is plain to see this will be the norm during the 2014-2015 season. This is what Cristiano Ronaldo had to say to Mirror about his teammate, Gareth Bale:
“It is great to have him with us and bringing his quality to Real Madrid.”
“I am very glad to play with him; he understands me, I understand him and he produces fantastic passes—I love him.”
“I thought Gareth played amazing. He looked strong, he looked fast and was a very important player for us. I was really pleased with his performance—but I am not surprised.”
“He had a fantastic season last year and showed his quality week-by-week so his development is no surprise.”

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale may be starting a bromance by expressing their mutual admiration. Bale has credited Ronaldo for being a mentor after his move from the Premier League, showing him the ropes, and giving him some great advice. Now with the addition of James Rodriguez and Toni Kross, Real Madrid looks unstoppable.
