Miss Piggy Of ‘Muppets Most Wanted’ Shares Beauty Tips
Miss Piggy of Muppets Most Wanted shares beauty tips in a recent mock interview for Express. As part of the Blu-ray and DVD release promotions for the blockbuster smash, Express describes Miss Piggy as “the world’s sexiest” Muppet and also “the oldest living pig on the planet.” From recommending karate-chopping antics to letting her personal trainer do the workouts for her, Miss Piggy is full of cheeky advice that is also full of Hollywood humor.
When asked about her stunning looks and age-resistant appearance, Miss Piggy quips that she works “with a team of cosmetic surgeons who keep moi looking fabulous.” Faux French accents aside, Miss Piggy has remained ageless since her debut in 1974. According to Disney, Miss Piggy began her career as part of Jim Henson’s The Muppet Show.
Miss Piggy explains that she has a “beauty regiment,” not a beauty regime. Equipped with a staff of consultants, fashionistas, publicists, and sycophants, the Muppet is very similar to other celebrity beauties, like Sandra Bullock, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift. Inquisitr reports that the pop singer, Swift, has learned many beauty tips from her makeup artists about keeping her signature red lipstick look intact. In a similar fashion, Miss Piggy asserts that her team of beauty experts “make sure that I look great — and that everyone knows it.” It’s clear they helped her look her best for all of her scenes in Muppets Most Wanted, too.
Express also asked America’s favorite pig about fitness routines, and Miss Piggy had many beauty tips to share with everyone. “Karate is part of my daily regimen,” bragged the muppet, referring to her signature hysterics and dramatic antics while using the famous “karate chop” move. In Muppets Most Wanted, there was not too much karate chopping from Miss Piggy, but she manages to sneak it in when she can. “I just wait until paparazzi bother me and then, ‘Hiiii-yaaa!'” She goes onto mention how she’s devoted to seeing her personal trainer each morning, but only because he does the workout for her!
When asked about the state of old Hollywood glamour, Miss Piggy proclaims that “Glamour is immortal,” and simultaneously self-proclaims herself a “reigning diva.” She laments the elegance of Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and Grace Kelly as the “golden era” of Hollywood, but she’s confident to boast that “many of Hollywood’s greatest stars consider moi their style icon.” While she regrets her heavy use of spandex and glittery headbands, Miss Piggy has no qualms about defining herself as a fashion expert. Her confidence seems to be the best of her beauty tips.
The Seattle Times reports that Muppets Most Wanted came out as a new DVD release on Tuesday, August 12. The PG-rated film is a musical-comedy with a fun plot about Kermit the Frog and his criminal doppelganger, Constantine. The Seattle Times gave the blockbuster a 3 out of 4-star rating.
