Porn Star Christy Mack Was Warned To Stay Away From Her Ex
Christy Mack, a professional pornographic actress who was brutally attacked by her ex-boyfriend earlier this week, was apparently warned by her friends to stay away from Jon Koppenhaver. Christy’s ex, an MMA fighter known as War Machine, allegedly has a bad reputation for aggressive violence outside of the ring.
Christy Mack posted pictures of herself from the hospital after the attack. Mack sustained broken bones, missing teeth, and a ruptured liver. You can read more about Christy Mack’s initial attack on The Inquisitr‘soriginal report.
According to Fox News, while Koppenhaver is being blamed by the public for the assault, many of Christy Mack’s close friends claim she should have known better than to stick around with him.
“She was warned several times,” said President of Exquisite Entertainment Howard Levine told FOX411. Levine worked with Mack’s ex-boyfriend in the MMA. “They broke up a while ago and he moved out of state. He is delusional. He came back thinking he was going to propose to [Christy Mack] and they would get married.”
According to ESPN, Koppenhaver’s history of violence goes back to 2010 when he was arrested on assault charges. Mack’s ex served jail time in 2011 and 2012.
The Dirty also reported on Christy’s decision to stay with Koppenhaver. They claim sources close to Christy Mack told her to stay far away from War Machine, because he was “bad news.” But apparently Christy Mack didn’t listen. The Dirty also speculated that Mack wasn’t telling the full truth about the attack and is hiding certain facts about what went down from the public.
“The site obtained pictures of the former couple together post their supposed break-up in bed only a week or so ago, and they two were spotted together recently as a week ago,” said Nik Richie of The Dirty. “War Machine reportedly caught [Christy] cheating. He thought they were still together. What he did was 100 percent wrong but she provoked him.”
Howard Levine doesn’t care what exactly happened between Christy Mack and Jon Koppenhaver — he believes the MMA fighter should suffer the consequences.
“He is an abuser and needs to go to jail for a long time,” said Levine.
Many internet users agree with Levine, accusing Christy’s friends of blaming the victim. Staying with a violent person does not make the victim guilty of domestic violence. Research shows it’s not always easy to leave the person you love, even if they’re as dangerous as Christy Mack’s ex.
But it’s not all bad news for Christy Mack. Mercury News reported that Christy’s porn industry fans and friends are helping to pay for reconstructive surgery to fix the damage her ex did to her. So far Christy has raised $30,000 with the goal to raise a total of $100,000.
