Bradley Cooper Goes Out For Dinner With J. Lo, is Modest

Hangover hottie Bradley Cooper was spotted out on what appeared to be a date with recently single American Idol host and pop star Jennifer Lopez.

Cooper, 37, and Lopez, 42, met up Saturday night at New York City’s fancy Per Se. And while the couple might have chosen a less high-profile locale if they were thinking of linking up romantically, sources reported the dinner date was actually less of a “date”- the two reportedly hooked up to discuss a project.

Lopez and soon-to-be-ex Marc Anthony publicly called it quits in July, and since then, Anthony has been pegged as a possible interloper in the Will Smith/Jada Pinkett household, though everyone involved denied the rumors. In the past, Cooper has been linked with Charlize Theron and Olivia Wilde- but he says he wasn’t always a hit with the womenfolk.

In a recent GQ interview, Cooper downplays his sex symbol status, but when asked why he was less confident as a younger man, the star blamed “feminine” features:

“… my mother was Italian and I had blond hair and blue eyes, not brown hair and brown eyes. I was pretty as a child and I felt that wasn’t particularly manly and that plagued me for years. I didn’t have that rough-and-tumble upbringing. My uncles and cousins were all cops and firemen while I was taking cello lessons.

“I wasn’t good looking, but pretty in the wrong ways, in my mind I looked like a girl.”

Cooper was quick to add that his looks do not, in his opinion, contribute to his success:

“In terms of my relationship to the business and the roles I go after, nothing is based on my looks at all. If I took my shirt off you wouldn’t want to photograph it.”

No word on what the possible project involving Cooper and Lopez could possibly be.
