Listen To Ed Sheeran On Jessie Ware’s Amazing New Track
The Inquisitr recently reported on Ed Sheeran’s willingness to collaborate with some of his fellow artists. In the past Ed worked with Pharrell Williams on “Sing” and Taylor Swift with their duet “Everything Has Changed” (which caused the two of them to argue). Sheeran also planned to work with fellow pop singer Jessie Ware on her new album. Now it seems the fruits of Ed Sheeran’s promise have finally been released.
Jessie Ware’s newest single “Say You Love Me” is an incredible track featuring Ed Sheeran’s song-writing skill that Slate called one of the best pop songs of the year so far. Ware debuted the Ed Sheeran collaboration song with Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show. “Say You Love Me” is co-written by Ed Sheeran and co-produced by BenZel (Benny Blanco and Two Inch Punch). You can listen to Ed and Jessie’s song in the video below:
“Say You Love Me” is a heartbreaking love ballad, full of sadness and passion. Ed Sheeran accompanies Jessie Ware’s powerful voice with a gently strumming acoustic guitar. Slate claims the track is reminiscent of Sam Smiths’ “Stay With Me,” another U.K. artist who joined Ed Sheeran at the top of the Billboard charts.
According to The Daily Star, Jessie Ware claims that collaborating with Ed Sheeran “elevated” her as a singer, improving her talents as a musician and recording artist.
“We wrote a song together and he’s playing guitar on it,” said Jessie. “The way Ed writes and his work ethic is incredible. I have to give him so much credit for being able to write something that’s so right for me and elevates the way I sing – he really pushed me hard.”
Jessie clearly believes Ed Sheeran deserves all the success he’s been getting lately. Ed released his second album x last month, which launched him to the number one spot on the U.K. charts.
“It was such a pleasure to work with [Ed Sheeran] because he is ridiculously talented,” Jessie went on. “I feel lucky that I got a glimpse of him in the flesh writing a song.”
The Ed Sheeran collaboration can be found on Jessie Ware’s newest album Tough Love, which will be released in October. This is Ware’s second LP after her critically acclaimed debut album Devotion, released in 2012.
