Zayn Malik Heartbreak: #RIP Arshiya Death Hoax Trends On Twitter
Zayn Malik’s little cousin is desperately ill, and her family is praying for her recovery. Arshiya Malik underwent surgery for a brain tumor late last week, and she is fighting for her life as doctors struggle to save her. Now Zayn Malik and his family have to deal with a cruel online death hoax.
On Sunday, someone on Twitter started #RIP Arshiya, which quickly began trending worldwide. However, Arshiya is not dead. This appears to be a sad death hoax, according to Epoch Times. Neither Zayn Malik nor any members of his family have reported that Arshiya Malik is dead, even though another of Zayn Malik’s cousins has been posting regular updates and prayer requests online throughout the little girl’s ordeal.

Aaroosa Malik posted this encouraging news on Instragram after Arshiya’s brain surgery earlier this month:

On Sunday, the same day that #RIP Arshiya became the top trending hashtag on Twitter, Zayn Malik’s cousin Aaroosa posted another message about the little girl’s condition. The message was posted around noon.
“Theres no change in Arshiya’s condition however she’s still with us mashallah. Please keep praying & inshallah Allah will accept them <3” — Aaroosa Malik (@Aaroosa_M) August 10, 2014
Later that day, Aaroosa reiterated the same message. Arshiya Malik is not dead.

Daily Star reported that Arshiya Malik is surrounded by family at Leeds General Infirmary. Doctors there have given up hope of saving her, and her family is praying that a doctor or other medical personnel will hear their online pleas for help and contact them. Aaroosa Malik took to Instagram to voice her plea.
“Doctors have given up on Arshiya but she is still fighting brave like a soldier.
Can everyone please pray for her and anyone out there with a medical background or any doctor who thinks they can help please get in touch if possible x.”
