Courteney Cox Hurt By Jennifer Aniston’s Anti-Plastic Surgery Comments?
Courteney Cox is having the time of her life! The Friends alum has been busy touring her fiance’s homeland in Ireland where she got to meet her future mother-in-law. Although that doesn’t exactly sound like a thrilling moment for some, E! Online reports that Cox had an amazing time with Mrs. McDaid, who revealed that she and the family love their soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
Meanwhile in America, Courteney’s bestie and former sitcom co-star Jennifer Aniston made a few damning comments about actresses who undergo cosmetic surgeries. In an interview with Yahoo Beauty, the Horrible Bosses actress said:
“I am grateful to learn from their mistakes, because I am not injecting s**t into my face. No honestly, I see them and my heart breaks. I think, ‘Oh god if you only know how much older you look.’ They are trying to stop the clock and all you can see is an insecure person who won’t let themselves just age.”
She added that her fiance would disapprove of her decision if she ever chose to go under the knife:
“I also have a fiancé; who will put a gun to my head if I touch my face in any way.”
The actress wasn’t particularly named, but The Daily Mail suspects that the statement might as well be a jab at Courteney Cox, who has admitted to using botox. Although botulinum injections are considered non-surgical, people often think of them as a gateway procedure towards total plastic surgery. Cox has been the center of surgery rumors before. However, it was never confirmed if Courteney actually had a job done around her facial regions.
But the question still remains: Was Courteney Cox hurt by her friend’s fiery comments?
Probably not. First, Cox is seriously having too much of a blast at the moment to care about Jennifer’s personal opinions. Her trip to Ireland with fiance Daniel McDaid is turning out to be an amazing one. Second, Courteney Cox just had a lovely dinner date last month at L.A. with Jennifer and Lisa Kudrow, with Matt LeBlanc even making a virtual appearance through FaceTime. Evidently, everything between the old friends is going well and no amount of personal opinion can sway their two-decade relationships.
The comments shocked the whole of Hollywood, a place that has become too used to the fact that actors and actresses go through incredible lengths to fool people into thinking they’d remain forever young. To be fair, remaining attractive is their bread and butter, and the industry has certainly seen a few people come and go due to this very harsh truth. Sadly, Courteney is not exempt from this rule.
Although some of her botox work appear to be ghastly at times, Courteney has been able to maintain the youthfulness we know her for. The Monica Gellar allure Courteney Cox has worked on for decades remains today.
