Hamas Decides To Kill More Palestinian Children [Breaking]
Update 10.30 a.m.: The Times of Israel reports that Prime Minister Netanyahu has ordered the IDF to resume striking Gaza.
After two-and-a-half hours of sustained rocket fire from Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon issued orders to the IDF in the past few minutes to “respond with force.”
Original Story:
The decision of Hamas to break the 72-hour ceasefire by again firing rockets into Israel means that its leadership wants the sight of more dead and injured Palestinian children to flood the TV screens of the world.
The tactic has proven successful so far, as it diverts attention from the Hamas ultimate objective of destroying Israel and eliminating Jews from the face of the Earth.
As The Inquisitr reported earlier this week, following the end of the first stage of the current war, the truth began to emerge as to how Hamas had threatened journalists, and shot many Palestinians who dared to protest its policy. In this respect, Hamas is taking a page from the ISIS songbook, which has shown that by using extreme brutality and carrying out barbaric acts, it can terrify its opponents into submission — or cause them to flee.
Indeed, ISIS has succeeded in achieving the unthinkable. Its actions have persuaded President Obama to authorize the use of American air-power to bomb ISIS positions in Iraq in a vain attempt to protect the tens of thousands of Christians and Yazidis who have fled from their homes following the ISIS advance.
Both of these groups were offered the stark choices of converting to Islam, being murdered if they refused, or fleeing. It is reported that ISIS has started destroying churches and other symbols of any faith which are not Islam.
What does all this have to do with Gaza?
All militant Islamic or Jihadist organizations have one thing in common: a hatred of Western values and non-Muslims. Actually, some also hate other Muslims who choose to worship Allah in a different way. But that’s their internal problem.
The external manifestation is what is happening in many parts of the world, as groups like Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab attempt to impose their Islamic views on the world.
The Times of Israel reports that Israel’s Justice Minister Tzipi Livni has just written on her Facebook page a condemnation of Hamas terrorist acts, saying extremists need to be given a “proper treatment.” Livni writes, “We will not have an ISIS Middle East!”
Hamas is no different to ISIS. It’s simply that its chosen target is Israel and the Jews. But it is a part of radical Islam. Not facing up to that is just an example of world indifference because their target is Jews.
And their weapon of choice is their children — unique in the annals of warfare.
Unfortunately, the statements by both President Obama and Ban Ki Moon that — even if Hamas IS operating close to civilians, hospitals or UN schools — Israel cannot retaliate if there is a risk of collateral damage, is their trump card.
Those statements are the equivalent of giving Hamas immunity from any consequences arising from its cynical tactic of deliberately placing its women and children in harm’s way by putting them on the front line.
As of this time of writing, Israel has yet to respond to the new Hamas rocket attacks.
If — or when — it does, the Hamas desire for the death of more Palestinian children will doubtless be fulfilled.
