Ramona Singer and her husband, Mario, have called it quits. The Real Housewives Of New York star made the announcement on Thursday, Aug. 7, taking to her Twitter account to let everyone know that she is moving on in her life… without Mario. According to Us Weekly , Singer was questioned about her marriage during the RHONY reunion show, but Ramona played it cool, saying that her daughter was her focus.
“Everyone in my family is great. We’re together now, but I have a daughter Avery, who I love dearly, who is 19, and because of that, that’s all I have to say on the matter.”
Ramona Singer’s marriage has been in question for quite some time, but she and Mario seemed to put their best foot forward. Even on the current season of RHONY the two seemed more than fine… but evidently there was a lot going on that the public was unaware of. This decision sounds like it wasn’t easy, but Ramona is ready for the next chapter of her life after marriage.
I have decided to move on with my life without Mario. I tried my best to make my marriage work. I am excited for the new chapter in my life.

Ramona will presumably still be on The Real Housewives Of New York, even if she is technically no longer a “housewife.” There are quite a few women on the Bravo shows that aren’t married, so Ramona’s marital status likely won’t affect her reality television show future. According to The Inquisitr , there have been contract negotiations involving the RHONY cast in the past, but last time this happened, Ramona was the first one to ink a deal . Evidently she really loves doing the show, and chances are, her split from Mario won’t change that.
And Ramona will do just fine without Mario by her side. She has received so much support already, which is always nice.
@ramonasinger Best of luck. Stay strong
