Alexis Bledel And Vincent Kartheiser Tie The Knot In Secret Ceremony
Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser are officially man and wife and they did a dang good job keeping it from the media. According to US Weekly, Bledel and Kartheiser have been married since June! How they kept that from the prying eyes of the media is a whole different mystery in itself, but congratulations are still in order!
Alexis Bledel, known for her roles in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies and the TV series, Gilmore Girls, and Mad Men star, Vincent Kartheiser reportedly tied the knot in Ojai, California sometime this past June according to Bledel’s rep.
“It was a small and intimate family affair,” a source told US Weekly. “They wanted something relaxed and beautiful. Ojai was the perfect place. His family flew out from the East Coast.”
According to a previous report by The Inquisitr, Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser were first engaged in May of 2013 after a year of dating. The two reportedly began a romantic relationship during the fifth season of Mad Men where Bledel portrayed the mistress of Kartheiser’s character on the show.
At the time of the report, Bledel talked about how much she loved her ring, which was picked out by Kartheiser himself. According to People, Kartheiser had practiced his proposal with his Mad Men co-stars before he finally popped the question to Bledel. Elisabeth Moss and Jessica Pare reportedly both served as stand-ins for his fiance-to-be.
“It was purely comedic but he was giving [Elisabeth] and I a facetious rendition of his planned proposal. We were like, ‘Great! Lets do this one without cursing and without yelling!'” Pare explained to the folks at People.
After their engagement was officially announced, Alexis Bledel said that the two would work together to plan their big day together, and simply said they planned to get married in the near future. Well, just over a year later and the two are officially married and have been living the married life for a month or so.
