Desiree Hartsock And Chris Siegfried’s ‘The Bachelorette’ Wedding: Couple Shares New Scoop On Plans
Fans of Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried of The Bachelorette are dying for wedding news, and there have been quite a few signs lately that something is brewing. Desiree and Chris have been engaged for a bit more than a year now, and many fans have a feeling a wedding is just a matter of months away. Based on what the two recently shared with the Puget Sound Business Journal, the planning is definitely running full-steam ahead.
Desiree Hartsock was just in California for her bridal shower, which definitely has fans wondering where the wedding planning stands. The shower comes on top of both Des and Chris sharing some thoughts with fans via social media regarding their work on a bridal registry. Those tidbits would certainly seem to indicate a firm wedding plan is in place, but it sounds like there is still a lot of work to be done.
Chris and Desiree say that they are hoping for a January wedding, but the phrasing sure seems like a firm date has not yet been set. If a date is set, they aren’t ready to share it with the world quite yet. Will their nuptials be televised? Reality Steve has been saying for some time now that this The Bachelorette wedding will not be showcased on television. If this is true, it is a big shift for the network as fans got to watch previous franchise weddings like those between Sean and Catherine Lowe, Ashley and JP Rosenbaum, Jason and Molly Mesnick and Trista and Ryan Sutter. At this point it seems to be a bit of a mystery regarding why the network would pass on this one.
So far, however, it has not been confirmed that Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried will be doing their wedding on their own. While they say they are aiming to have “an intimate wedding with about 125 people,” they also say that they are “up for sharing it” with fans via a televised wedding. It seems so far ABC is giving “no solid answer” when asked, and host Chris Harrison recently indicated that he’s hoping they can find a way to televise it.
What’s the issue here? Whatever it is, nobody is saying. Many would say that it seems odd to be working on a registry and bridal shower without an actual wedding date, and it seems atypical that the network doesn’t have plans to televise it. Perhaps there is still some negotiating going on here, but neither side is detailing what might be coming in the way of making this happen in a way that lets fans participate by watching it on television.
Whether it airs on television or not, it is seeming quite likely that Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried’s The Bachelorette wedding will be taking place over the winter. Fans seem to want to see it, but they will have to wait and see if ABC grasps the opportunity.
