Kristen Stewart Brunette: Shocking Style Update For ‘Twilight’ Star As Actress Loses Neon Orange Locks

With Kristen Stewart brunette again, fans can finally say goodbye to the neon orange hair that she has flaunted since April. After seeing the young Twilight star sporting bright, colorful hair since the spring, having Kristen Stewart brunette again seems almost shocking.

Of course, there is a perfectly good reason why Stewart replaced her traditional dark hair with a brighter orange hair color four months ago. That particular transformation was for a recent movie role, reported People. The actress portrays Phoebe in the film American Ultra. The movie is currently in post-production, and it is slated for a 2015 release. It tells the story of a stoner, whose proverbial chickens come home to roost in a big way, and his girlfriend. Jesse Eisenberg is the stoner, named Mike, and Stewart is his unfortunate girlfriend.

Then again, for those who haven’t seen Stewart since her Twilight days, the real shock might be how short she is wearing her hair these days. The long, flowing auburn hair that she wore onscreen as beloved vampire lover Bella Swan has been replaced with a much shorter style that is more reminiscent of the tomboyish short hair she wore in the flick Panic Room in 2002. She made the dramatic cut in July after wearing her hair long, and orange, since filming on American Ultra wrapped.

There is no word on what inspired the return to a familiar color for Kristen Stewart. Brunette looks good on her, and it’s familiar territory. So it’s sure to be a welcome sight for most fans. As you can see from the photo at the top of the page, Kristen Stewart was brunette with short hair when she portrayed Joan Jett in the 2010 film The Runaways. So this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this particular style on her.

The folks in Tokyo, Japan were the first people to see the new look when Stewart appeared at a press conference for yet another upcoming film, Equals, according to Too Fab. The site also noted that Stewart has been seen enjoying the company of Nicholas Hoult, who split from adorable actress Jennifer Lawrence very recently.

As recently reported by The Inquisitr, Stewart’s famous ex-boyfriend and fellow Twilight phenomenon Robert Pattinson broke his silence about her romantic alliance with married director Rupert Sanders in 2012. At the time of the cheating scandal, Stewart was living with Pattinson and Sanders was married to model Liberty Ross, with whom he has two children.

After two years of near silence on the topic, Pattinson finally told the world what he really thinks about Kristen Stewart canoodling with Rupert Sanders. “S**t happens,” he said.
