Gal Gadot shared a photo of her, training for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on Instagram . The pic shows the new Wonder Woman doing a little rock climbing, courtesy of trainer to the stars, Mark Twight.
You may or may not remember this, but Twight is the one that we all have to thank, for the way he built Henry Cavill up so he could play Superman in Man of Steel . Now it appears he is taking care of another one of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars in the person of Gal Gadot.
The Israeli-born actress wasn’t everyone’s first choice to play the iconic superhero, however, Zack Snyder thought she could do the job and last weekend she was introduced in full garb for the first time. To say that fans were surprised with the way the new costume looks would be an understatement.
In the past Wonder Woman has appeared to be more of an American hero, dressed in a stars and stripes sort of costume such as this one, worn by Lynda Carter for the TV series of the same name, which ran between 1975 and 1979.
Gal Gadot’s costume is a far cry from what Lynda Carter wore and made famous back in the day. Many fans weren’t happy when director Zack Snyder revealed what the new costume for Wonder Woman looks like for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice .
Speaking to USA Today in July, Snyder revealed that he has not filmed any scenes with Princess Diana, a.k.a. Wonder Woman in her costume yet, because she was still “working out and getting buff and ripped.” There have been photos of Gadot leaked online, where she is seen in front of a high rise in Detroit, wearing street clothes, but nothing in her Wonder Woman costume.
Ahead of any official release with our three superheroes, someone has come up with this epic new poster that shows the likes of Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Gadot.
Even though no real news came out of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice San Diego Comic Con panel, the teaser trailer and surprise appearance by the main cast was all the talk at the mega popular convention last weekend. Snyder along with Cavill, Affleck, and Gadot brought Hall H down when they were introduced to a packed room.
DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. have stated the Batman v Superman teaser trailer shown during the panel, will not be released to the public at large. Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, and Ben Affleck continue to film the much awaited production in the Detroit area.
