Jay Z And Beyoncé Divorce Drama Could End The ‘On The Run’ Tour Early
Jay Z and Beyoncé have reportedly grown so close to divorce that organizers of their joint summer “On The Run” tour had to call an emergency meeting to discuss what might happen if the couple called it quits before completing all of their tour dates.
Reports indicated that both Jay Z and Beyoncé met with concert promoter Live Nation and a team of lawyers to discuss the couple’s broken marriage. They are reportedly worried that the couple’s divorce drama might end the “On The Run” tour prematurely.
The tour still has a few more dates in the United States before ending in Paris this September. Now insiders say they don’t think it will go that long.
“This may not make it to San Francisco,” a source told the New York Post‘s Page Six. “I’m definitely not sure that they’ll make it to Paris.”
The report indicated that tour executives wanted to release a statement, but Jay Z and Beyoncé declined.
For now the “On The Run” tour is going on, but sources say that Jay Z and Beyoncé are now constantly surrounded by a team of lawyers.
“There are lawyers that have now joined the tour, and they’re not here just to see them perform. They are here to help hash things out,” the source said.
Live Nation CEP Michael Rapino is reportedly heated about the situation, not only the possibility of ending the tour early but also the constant stream of bad press from the couple’s failing marriage. Ever since Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles attacked Jay Z after the Met Gala earlier this year — an attack reportedly provoked by Jay Z’s cheating — there have been near constant reports of Jay Z’s infidelity.
Rumors indicated that he has had affairs with Rita Ora, Mya, and Rihanna.
Now Jay Z and Beyoncé are living entirely apart during the tour, sources say.
“They’re not just staying in different hotel rooms, but they have booked separate hotels, and they arrive separately to each show,” the insider said.
While many insiders agree that the couple is headed to divorce, some question the timing. Sources close to the couple claim they plan on finishing out the “On The Run” tour before officially starting the divorce process.
If Jay Z and Beyoncé do get divorced, it could be quite costly. He is worth more than $550 million with Beyoncé has a net worth around $300 million. It’s reported that the couple has no pre-nup.
