High Commissioner In The United Nations Wants Gaza To Have An ‘Iron Dome,’ Verbally Assaults U.S. And Israel
Israel’s form of protection against missiles and ballistics, known as the Iron Dome, has been receiving plenty of attention over the past month or so, especially when the Hamas upped their bombardment of the Jewish people. Here on The Inquisitr, we reported numerous times the iron dome was tested. This includes how the Iron Dome shot down a rocket over Tel-Aviv, just one of an average of 150 daily. Even though the Iron Dome is central in Israel’s protection, it barely intercepts the majority of missiles. Maybe the Iron Dome isn’t the true protection Israel has, but God who diverts Gaza missiles in midair as claimed by the Hamas themselves.
The Iron Dome has been such an intricate part of the war between Israel and the Hamas in Palestine that reports are now coming in that a high commissioner in the United Nations believe that Gaza should have their own Iron Dome. What’s worse, the reports also state the high commissioner is slamming both the United States and Israel for not providing Gaza an Iron Dome too.
The first example is detailed in an article by Breit Bart. It reports that Navi Pillay, the United Nation’s top human rights official, condemned Israel for its military actions to stop Hamas rocket attacks against Israeli civilians. She accused the Jewish state of deliberately defying International Law in a way that may constitute war crimes. The U.N.’s long bill of particulars against the beleaguered Jewish state also includes a very unbelievable accusation that Israel’s refusal to share its Iron Dome ballistic missile defense shield with the governing authority of Gaza, which is the Hamas who have expressed their desire to exterminate all Jews, constitutes a war crime against the civilians of Gaza.
Navi Pillay even opened up to reporters on Thursday with a statement which sounds a little too ironic. She said that just because Hamas fires rockets indiscriminately aimed at Israeli civilian population centers without provocation, and fires them from within its own population centers, does not “absolve” Israel from its own legal violations.
In another report by The Blaze, Navi Pillay criticized not Israel, but the United States. Why? It is because the United States provided funds to Israel for its Iron Dome defense system. Pillay made a statement about this claim in which she said the following;
“They have not only provided the heavy weaponry which is now being used by Israel in Gaza but they’ve also provided almost $1 billion in providing the Iron Dome to protect the Israelis from rocket attacks, but no such protection has been provided to Gazans against the shelling.”
Navi Pillay’s words comes off of the heels of the U.N. Human Rights Council decision to investigate Israel for possibly violating international law, while making no mention of investigating Hamas actions. This prompted Israel’s left-wing justice minister, Tzipi Livni, to tell the council the following:
“Get lost.”
