Desiree Hartsock And Chris Siegfried Wedding Update: Has ‘The Bachelorette’ Couple Set A Date?
In the wake of Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray’s engagement on The Bachelorette, many fans are looking for updates on Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried’s wedding plans. Have Desiree and Chris set a date? Will it be televised on ABC? Nothing has been made official yet, but a recent tweet by Des has some wondering.
Desiree Hartsock tweeted, “Go with the red kitchen aid or the teal? Do we really need a waffle maker? #weddingregistryproblems #timeconsuming #Somanychoices.”
Now, many would say that a bride-to-be doesn’t start working on a wedding registry at that level of detail until they have an actual wedding date, right? Desiree and Chris have seemingly been chomping at the bit to get married since they were able to go public with their engagement, and many thought it was just a matter of time before ABC announced a wedding date and special to air it on the network.
However, that hasn’t happened yet, and many are wondering why. Reality Steve has been saying for some time now that for reasons unknown, ABC has decided they don’t want to air Hartsock and Siegfried’s wedding. Could that really be true? Steve has said it multiple times, and it leaves fans a bit perplexed. Of course, host Chris Harrison made it seem as if the door was very much still open in his recent chat with Hollywood Life.
Chris said that any time a couple from The Bachelor or The Bachelorette gets married he would like to see it end up on television so the fans can see the process and relationship come full circle. Harrison adds that he “knows Des and Chris are probably next on the docket and so hopefully we can figure out a way to get it on camera.”
That comment definitely leaves fans wondering: Is the door still open to a televised wedding? Is one side or the other balking at some of the proposed terms or negotiations? Is one side or the other playing a few games here? Andi and Josh indicate they are looking toward a spring wedding, and there had been hints previously that Desiree and Chris would likely get married this winter. It would seem quite bizarre to “Bachelor Nation” fans if the franchise were to skip one wedding but air the next one, but right now there is a lot of mystery surrounding this one.
There are wedding registries set up onThe Knot and for Bed, Bath & Beyond with Desiree and Chris’ names on them, but they may well be fakes. The two registries do not have the same wedding dates attached, in fact the one at The Knot lists January 30, 2014 as the wedding date, and obviously that isn’t correct. Could it be January 30 of 2015 instead? That is a Friday, though, and most would anticipate a Saturday or Sunday wedding. The Bed, Bath & Beyond registry isn’t linked to the supposed Des and Chris profile on The Knot. It lists a January 11, 2015 wedding date, which is a Sunday, which certainly could be possible. It may be worth noting that the registry at Macy’s via The Knot does include both a waffle maker and a red Kitchen Aid mixer, items Hartsock tweeted about choosing.
For now, it would seem that The Bachelorette fans will have to stay tuned for news on any televised nuptials. It would seem unlikely that ABC would choose to air one televised wedding in January and another in the spring, but it would also seem odd to skip one couple’s wedding and air another’s. Granted, most fans are figuring there is no need to worry about the complications of finding room to air a wedding between Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell this coming year. Do you think Des’ tweet is a hint that a date for Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried’s wedding has been set? Will it be on ABC or will it be done privately on their own?
