Lea Michele Guest Starring On ‘Sons Of Anarchy’: What’s Her Role?
The final season of Sons of Anarchy begins in September, and now it has been announced that Lea Michele is a guest star in an upcoming episode. The Glee star broke the news on Twitter, and now a few additional details are emerging. Season 7 of SOA is going to be jam-packed with action and familiar faces, and fans are anxious for Sons of Anarchy spoilers. What’s the scoop on Michele’s role?
There had been rumors for a while regarding Lea Michele’s guest star spot on SOA, but it wasn’t confirmed until Monday. That’s when Michele tweeted, “I’ll be appearing on an episode of my favorite show @SonsofAnarchy! Thank you so much @Harparbar & @sutterink #SOAFX.”
Of course, @sutterink is the show’s creator, Kurt Sutter. Who is @Harparbar? That would be Paris Barclay, a director who has worked on both Glee and Sons of Anarchy. It seems that Barclay was instrumental in orchestrating the gig for Michele.
Lea even tweeted a photo of herself on the set of SOA, and TVLine shared a bit of scoop regarding Lea Michele’s guest star role. It seems that the Glee star will appear in the Oct. 14 episode, which it seems will be episode 7×06. Lea will play a woman named Gertie, who is a single mom and truck stop waitress. Gertie “connects with Gemma during a difficult time.” Fans can imagine there are a lot of difficult times ahead for Gemma in this final season, and it will be interesting to see just how she handles it all.
There are several other familiar faces taking on roles in season 7 of Sons of Anarchy as well. Marilyn Manson will play a white supremacist who connects with Jax in jail, and it seems that is how the season kicks off. Singer Courtney Love will be in the mix as Abel’s preschool teacher at one point, and Annabeth Gish will be on-board as the new sheriff of Charming.
Malcolm-Jamal Warner is also going to show up in season 7 as previously shared by the Inquisitr, and most television viewers remember him as Theo from The Cosby Show. Warner will be in at least two episodes where he will play Sticky, a Grim Bastards member. From the sounds of things, fans should be prepared that there are likely other established actors and actresses making their way to the world of SAMCRO for this final season as well.
The season 7 premiere is super-sized, as it will be an hour and 45 minutes long. The action picks up a few days after Tara’s death, and apparently Jax is in jail for a parole violation. The final season will, of course, be about Jax finding redemption for Tara’s death, and fans cannot wait to see how it all plays out. The season 7 premiere of Sons of Anarchy debuts on FX on Sept. 9.
