Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried Update: How Is ‘The Bachelorette’ Duo Doing?
Many fans of The Bachelorette are wondering how Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are doing these days. It has now been a full year since their finale aired, and fans are hoping that there are perhaps wedding bells in their future. The two have kept fans updated via their social media pages, but they have not shared anything too specific lately. What’s the latest on Desiree and Chris?
From the looks of things, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried will be getting married. Desiree is still living with Chris in Seattle, Washington, where she has been since shortly after their finale aired last May. It appears that they even moved into a new place together not long ago, and Hartsock shared a photo seemingly from their place over the weekend via Instagram. She said, “Can’t get enough of this view. #Seattle #homesweethome.”
Desiree and Chris have been doing a lot of traveling this summer, it seems, and it looks like things are going well. What about a televised wedding on ABC? Many fans have assumed that was in the works, but gossip guru Reality Steve says that is not the case. He has said several times, and recently reiterated, that the network and producers apparently have no interest in televising Desiree and Chris’ The Bachelorette wedding. Steve said, “I will repeat what I’ve said. They have no intention to televise a Des and Chris wedding. Not this calendar year. Not ever. That’s what I was told.”
This news does come as a shocker to fans, as every other wedding between the final couple has been televised so far. In fact, Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s wedding just aired in January, and Ashley and JP Rosenbaum got married a bit more than a year before that. Is ABC too disappointed in the ratings to shell out big bucks for a televised wedding? Some suspect that is the case, but Reality Steve thinks that the show will jump at the chance to televise Andi Dorfman’s wedding should the opportunity arise. That leaves a bit of a mystery regarding the situation, with fans of Des and Chris pretty disappointed.
Fans probably should not give up hope yet, as perhaps Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried will still find a way to share their big day with fans in some fashion. Des has been hard at work designing her gown, and the couple at one point even hinted that a wedding would take place yet this year. They have seemingly been anxious to get married, so it will be interesting to see what they do if indeed ABC passes on the chance to televise it.
