Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot Surprise Comic Con Panel, Hall H Explodes [Photos]
Zack Snyder is one sneaky man. He managed to bring in the main cast of his Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot — into a packed Hall-H at the San Diego Comic Con convention without it leaking.
Those of us following this production closely could feel something in the air, after back-to-back photos shared by Snyder on his Twitter account this past week. The first, which left many scratching their heads, was of Henry Cavill wearing a black robe, holding a lightsaber (yes, that weapon from Star Wars). If you looked closely, you can see Henry is wearing his Superman suit underneath (look at that open top button). The photo had a simple caption #SuperJedi.

As if that wasn’t enough to throw Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Henry Cavill’s fans into a frenzy, the following day Snyder took to Twitter yet again, to share a pic of a close-up of Ben Affleck in his batsuit. This one was a different angle of the first one the director shared back in May.

Apparently this was only an indication of what was to come at the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice panel held on Saturday in Hall H at San Diego Comic Con. Snyder had the biggest surprise yet when he introduced his main cast, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot. The room erupted as everyone went crazy at the sight of the stars together for the first time in public. Here’s the awesome selfie taken by @thenerdist and shared on Twitter.
Now, if that doesn’t get you excited to see Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot in Snyder’s upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we don’t know what would. The director and his three main stars flew from Michigan, where the film is currently in production, to San Diego Saturday morning. This was the first time that Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck are seen together, in public.
Snyder would not let either of his actors near a microphone for the Q&A for fear that eager fans may tempt them to spill very secret beans. In an effort to keep spoilers from leaking, Snyder has reportedly asked his main cast to wear black robes (similar to that worn by Henry) when they’re on set, but not filming.
In related news, Zack also shared the first official image of Gal Gadot and her very cool Wonder Woman costume, which looks nothing like those we have seen in the past. Kudos to Snyder for bringing the house down.
