‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ SDCC Concept Art Assembles An Epic Poster
Marvel trickled out concept art for Avengers: Age of Ultron featuring Iron Man and Scarlet Witch on Wednesday evening as part of its San Diego Comic-Con 2014 promotional efforts. Art for Captain America and Black Widow then followed today. It turns out that when you assemble (pun intended) the four together, you get the makings of an epic poster to promote the super hero film.
The new Black Widow artwork shows Scarlett Johansson’s new suit designed for Age of Ultron. There are blue electric lines running up the sides and shoulders plus down her arms to her “Widows Bite” electric shock weapon. In a previous leak, it was explained that Downey Jr’s Tony Stark upgraded her equipment to make her more lethal in battle compared to the first Avengers film.
Her artwork also teases more to be revealed. You can clearly see the hand of the Hulk and Thor’s hammer peeking in. There’s also a blue flash in the background that’s clearly meant to be Scarlet Witch’s brother, Quicksilver. An Ultron drone with an arrow through his forehead also indicates that Hawkeye is around somewhere.
By comparison, the Captain America artwork is almost wholly unremarkable. It does doemnstrate the uniform changes that have been incorporated into Steve Roger’s uniform and helmet plus there’s also a an Avenger‘s “A” logo shown on his shoulder. Again, this is more than likely the work of Tony Stark.
Once you assemble all of this artwork together, you get the following in progress movie poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron. There’s four slots still open (two for the gap in the top left and two more for the right edge) so we will update this article with the complete image once all the artwork has been released.
Update: Here’s the new art work featuring Quicksilver and Hawkeye with a glimpse of Vision int he background. Plus, an all new assembly of the complete poster so far.
The posters will be available for free to San Diego Comic-Con 2014 attendees while supplies last at the Marvel Booth.
