Kate Gosselin Is A Dictator, According To Nanny – Forces Eavesdropping On Phone Calls To Jon Gosselin

Kate Gosselin is not exactly known as being little miss sunshine. However, a former Nanny revealed that Ms. Gosselin’s stone cold demeanor went beyond just her verbal orders. The nanny has not yet revealed her identity, but has stated that each nanny is forced to read and follow a very strict manual, which includes tasks such as eavesdropping on calls between the eight children and their father, Jon Gosselin.

“When Jon called the kids on the phone, Kate said to us nannies, ‘You are Kate, so always listen in on the phone calls. We always had to keep an ear and eye on what was going on. Kate would say she had no problem with the kids having a relationship with Jon, but it always felt like a façade to me. We always had to refer to the manual because it listed her pet peeves. You couldn’t put anything on the ground. You had to put shoes in a certain spot. You couldn’t close doors loudly. You could only vacuum during certain times of the day if she was home.”

Any good mother would do what she feels is right to protect her children from harm, including the presentation of a rule book that nannies should follow. In essence, the nanny should willingly follow the rules of the household. However, Kate Gosselin seems to have taken it too far by forcing her nannies to eavesdrop on phone calls to ex-husband Jon Gosselin.

The children were also privy to strict rules, according to the nanny.

“When the boys were in trouble, they were made to go outside, in their giant yard, and pull weeds,”

At times, the punishments for the children were more mental in nature, such as the time the kids were not allowed to eat a gingerbread house that they created.

“They had to stare at it every night during dinner,” she said. “I finally just let the kids eat it.”

The nanny finally quit when Kate Gosselin spanked one of the sons, Colin, with a wooden spoon in front of all his siblings.

Kate Gosselin’s methods of punishing her kids and strict guidelines for their nannies may seem extreme to some. However, there are some that believe strict control is needed to ensure the kids behave and grow up to be respectable adults. Yet there are others, such as the Duggar family, that raise their children in an opposite atmosphere where positivity reigns supreme. While neither may be right nor wrong in relation to raising children, I think that everyone can agree that raising a family is never easy, no matter the size.
