Zoe Saldana Is Pregnant With Twins!
Whoa momma! Yesterday we reported that actress Zoe Saldana was pregnant, and now we’re leaning from E! not only is she pregnant, but she’s expecting twins!
Multiple sources close to Zoe Saldana and husband Marco Perego confirmed that the 36-year-old actress is expecting twins with her hubby. One of the sources is quoted as saying, “She’s thrilled!” when describing how Saldana took the news.
As we reported yesterday in a conversation with Amanda de Cadenet, back in 2012, she admitted that she was ready for children prior to her break up with then fiance Keith Britton.
“At 22 you’re like, ‘I just wanna hold something!’ You want a little critter.”
That said, Zoe and Keith were never on the same page about children.
“I felt the urge to want to have a baby, and I wanted to, but I remember that respecting his decision — and making the decision to wait with him — was one of the most mature things. I chose to wait and I’m glad I did. I’m glad that I respected him.”
Saldana went on to date frequent co-star Bradley Cooper before she settled down with Italian artist Marco Perego in 2013.
Back in 2012, E! reported that the actress wanted a big family — between two to five children. It looks like she’s finally getting her wish.
If you think twins means the actress is going to slow down, you couldn’t be more wrong. Sure, there’s a thing such as nesting once a woman gives birth, but not every woman has director James Cameron as their boss, either. Zoe is signed on for several sequels for Cameron’s Avatar franchise, and she will be back on set in no time.
Additionally, Saldana also has the third Star Trek installment to shoot. It looks like she might be pulling double duty for both Avatar and Star Trek. According to the actress, both will film in 2015.
“All I know is that the producers of Trek 3 called the producers of Avatar 2 to find out when Avatar will finish shooting.”
The couple hasn’t made an official announcement about the pregnancy, but we don’t expect them to. After all, Zoe is plenty busy promoting Guardians of The Galaxy. Her last tweet was from the Twitter headquarters.

The news of Zoe Saldana expecting twins comes shortly after the couple enjoyed their first wedding anniversary. After a few months of dating, the pair were married in June of 2013 in London.
