Maks Chmerkovskiy, Meryl Davis Dating? ‘DWTS’ Duo Together This Weekend?
Maks Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis dating rumors have died down quite a bit over the past month or so. However, fans of the maybe-couple have been very good about keeping their eyes open, and many noticed something a bit peculiar this weekend. Both Maks and Meryl have not tweeted since July 19. While that may be a pure coincidence, fans of “Maksyl” or “Merks” believe that the two might have been together and maybe refrained from tweeting because they didn’t want any additional attention.
According to Classicalite, Maks is dating Jennifer Lopez, not Meryl, which has been another rumor floating around recently. In fact, the site refers to Maks as “Jennifer Lopez’s boyfriend,” and discusses Maks’ desire to be a judge on Dancing with the Stars, leaving Meryl completely out of the picture.
Maks Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis haven’t been together since the beginning of June. Once fans saw that the two weren’t making time to see each other, it kind of became clear that they weren’t dating. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t talking or that they aren’t friends — it just means that they probably aren’t romantically involved as people previously had hoped.
As far as Maks’ future on Dancing with the Stars goes, the ballroom pro really does want to be a judge. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Maks has said that he wants Meryl to be the last person that he dances with (on the show). He had such a wonderful experience with her — and he won his very first Mirror Ball Trophy with her — and he feels as though it’s a good time to end his run — and take on something different.
Despite outlets suggesting that Maks wants to step back to focus on his romance with Meryl, well that might just be filler. Maks and Meryl don’t have a “romance” — at least not from what fans are seeing now. However, if the former dancing partners spent time together this weekend — and their Twitter silence was because they were together — that changes things.
Maks Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis do seem great together and there is no denying that they have serious chemistry together, but they claim that they were never actually “together.” That doesn’t mean that they won’t be “together,” however, and if they decide to take their relationship to the next level at some point, they are going to have tons of support behind them.
Until then, fans are just waiting, wishing, and watching.
