Jeremy Meeks Killed? Death Hoax Makes The Rounds On Social Media
A so-called Jeremy Meeks death hoax made the rounds on social media this week, leading some to believe that the world’s hottest felon had shuffled off his mortal coil.
Like many of the death reports shared by your virtual friends, there’s absolutely no truth to this particular rumor. Although some may seriously believe that Jeremy Meeks is no longer with us, The Epoch Times claims this is simply one of those annoying death hoaxes that pop up on social media every once in a while.
The Jeremy Meeks death hoax was brought to life by Huzlers, a website that describes itself as a “combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief.” Mission accomplished, I suppose.

Here’s what the outlet said regarding Meeks’ supposed demise:
“According to jail records, Jeremy Meek was released from jail just before midnight on Tuesday night. About an hour later, just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Stockton Police found him laying in the road in the area of Dayton and West in Central Stockton. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he died from his wounds shortly after arriving.”
The report continued:
“During the investigation, police said Meek went to his mother’s house after leaving the jail and got into a fight with his wife. Police said Meek and his wife Lashanda Meek had longstanding personal issues. They said the fight ended with Meek laying in the road with two wounds — one they said, looked like a knife wound, the other may be a gunshot wound. Witnesses also reported a loud pop. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.”
Although the story quickly made the rounds on social media, the International Business Times reports that the tale is a complete fabrication. In fact, Jeremy Meeks was recently charged with “felony possession of a firearm.” If found guilty of the crime, Meeks could spend the next 10 years of his life behind bars.
While some people bought the story, others are more than a little shocked that anyone believed the Jeremy Meeks death hoax was true.

Jeremy Meeks is not dead. His wife didn't shoot him. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even have a wife. He's gay.
