Kate Upton’s Smell Used To Scare Boys Away
In The Other Woman, Kate Upton plays a character named Carly who smells really, really good. When Leslie Mann’s character asks her what fragrance she’s wearing, Carly responds by saying, “I think it’s just sweat.”
Unfortunately, the model hasn’t always impressed people with her scent in real life. In fact, Kate Upton used to smell so bad that boys didn’t want to go near her. During a recent interview with People, she explained why her classmates avoided her when she was a teen. Here’s what she said (via In Touch Weekly):
In high school, I would go to the barn to feed my horse every morning. A classmate complained that I smelled like a horse and asked to be moved to the other side of the room!
That guy probably regretted making Kate feel bad about smelling like a horse after he saw that topless photo of her riding a horse. And speaking of Upton being topless, The Inquisitr previously reported that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition model is open to the idea of appearing in Playboy. That former classmate is really going to beat himself up if this happens — he could have put up with the horse smell; became pals with Kate; and scored an invite to the Playboy mansion.
Perhaps Hugh Hefner could tempt Kate Upton with a horse-themed Playboy photo shoot. After all, Kate sacrificed smelling bad to spend time with her horses because she just loves the animals that much. During an interview with the Daily News, Upton revealed that she lived out every little girl’s dream by getting her first pony when she was six years old. Kate named the horse Coolio, so apparently she had rather mature musical tastes for a kindergartner.
Kate Upton and her sister celebrated their love of horses by having “pony parties” when they were little, and they started riding competitively when they got older. Upton competed in dozens of different events, including reigning and jumping. Her many titles included three American Paint Horse Association Reserve World Championships.
Kate Upton obviously doesn’t mind smelling like a barnyard animal, but don’t expect her to put up with a guy who stinks — Upton believes that the nose knows what the heart wants. During an interview with British GQ, the model was asked if she’d forgive a guy for having terrible body odor. Here’s what she said:
No. But if you think that someone smells bad then that usually means that you’re not attracted to them. It’s like your body is rejecting them. It’s pheromones.
Unfortunately, drenching your body with body spray isn’t going to change its chemical makeup and give you an attractive natural smell. If you don’t have the right pheromone fragrance, you aren’t going to score a horseback riding date with Kate.
What do you say, guys? Would you avoid Kate Upton if she smelled like a horse?
